Why You Should Stop Using Most Antibacterial Soaps

About 75% of liquid antibacterial soaps contain the germ-killing chemical triclosan, which is not proven to clean any better than conventional soap and water. It also can't protect against the common norovirus which induces vomiting or the C. difficile bacteria which can cause everything from diarrhea to inflammation of the colon. What's more, one 2015 study found that antibacterial soap might even be less effective than regular soap and water. Researchers found that triclosan in these soaps take 9 hours to kill bacteria.
