Stunning Ending Keeps Silva Perfect in UFC

Chael Sonnen had a not-so-subtle message for mixed martial arts fans who may have been wondering about his strategy as he prepared to challenge middleweight champion Anderson Silva in the championship at UFC 117 at Oracle Arena on Saturday.

"I'm gonna throw him down to the mat," Sonnen told his pay-per-view audience, "and beat a hole in his face for 25 minutes or until he gets up."

At least Silva couldn't say he hadn't been warned. Not that it changed the bottom line.

Namely, that Silva still has a perfect slate in the UFC, and he still has his title belt. He may have gained a bit of respect in the process.
