The slugger who had struck out six times in eight at-bats against the Phillies was suffering a severe crisis of Game 3 faith. Rodriguez was no longer the terminator who wiped out the Angels and Twins and his reputation as an October fall guy to boot.

 Now he was the cleanup hitter getting his clock cleaned by the defending champs.
