Angels Have Edge Over Yankees

You could call the Angels the team of destiny in 2009, deferring respectfully to the memory of Nick Adenhart. It makes for a nice theme for the AL Championship Series, but the Yankees aren’t buying it.

The real reason they’re sweating the coming war with Anaheim has nothing to do with the untimely death of a young pitcher. Besides, if destiny was a legitimate currency in October, wouldn’t the Bombers have won the World Series in 2001?
